About the Artist
Hi there! A little about myself:
I’m a Dallas based photographer specializing in newborn and family portraits. I was born and raised in Dallas, and received a degree in psychology at UTD. I’m married and have a son and it’s my pleasure to have both my family and my business based in my hometown.
For nearly a decade, I’ve been active in Rainbow Days, a Dallas non-profit organization where I was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award in 2010. Their mission is “to inspire and prepare children to live a life filled with hope and promise”; specifically homeless children and children living in high-risk situations. My volunteering career with Rainbow Days began in the homeless shelters across Dallas, working one on one with the children living there. My role eventually evolved as their professional photographer for their events held for the kiddos throughout the year. My passion for giving back is something I incorporate into the soul of my business as well, by dedicating the same attention to my community as I do each of my clients.
A little extra:
- Photography is something that brings me the utmost joy and I feel beyond blessed to be doing what I love for a living.
- I believe we all have the ability to do something truly wonderful with our lives by following our passion. Whether it’s raising your beautiful children, volunteering in your community or creating your dream career, doing what you love gives you a sense of happiness that you can’t help but share with others.
- I’m creative, sensitive, careful, intelligent and passionate.
- Pride gets in my way more than I’d like to admit.
- My son’s beauty - inside and out - takes my breath away.
- Music inspires me in ways I’ll never understand.
- You’ll rarely find me wearing anything but jeans and a t-shirt; with flip flops or boots depending on the season.
- I love all things sushi, Chapstick and Sauvignon Blanc.
- I dislike arrogance, socks and public speaking.
- Yoga and Rocky Road ice cream soothe my soul.
- Call it karma, the Golden Rule or whatever you like, I believe we always get what we give. I believe what you think about…you bring about. So dare to dream and believe in the unimaginable!
- I’m thankful every single day for the life that I’m living and for the people by whom I’m surrounded.
